"There are some people in this world I just want to slap."

There were strange happenings this week. Mostly yesterday...

What I tracted in this week. It was a full-on blizzard.
There was a snow storm in Denver! It is really cold and it snowed like a lot. So much that church got cancelled yesterday. Which was a really weird thing for me. Because being from Montana, nothing ever shuts down because of snow. But church did yesterday! We also weren't supposed to be driving our cars, but the Elders in my district did anyway. They brought Sister Hansen and I snow shovels and the 6 of us just shoveled snow in our neighborhood for about 2 hours. It was great. Then Sister Hansen and I walked to our less-active member's house for a lesson. She lives about 30 minutes away, and by the time the lesson was over, the sun had gone down. So it was REALLY cold. But when we walked into our apartment, Elder Bang and Elder Marin told us that they had tamales from us. From my favorite Recent Convert. It was such a beautiful tender mercy.

We taught our investigator Carolina on Saturday night. She has a baptismal date. We had a lesson with her earlier this week and she said she still wasn't 100% sure about being baptized. So we asked her all of the baptismal interview questions. She knows that everything is true. She wants to be baptized. She just wants to keep worshipping the saints. So, if you all would please pray for my lovely Carolina to feel 100% sure about all of this and her decision to be baptized. :)

Strange thing is that this Friday I hit my 6 month mark... SO that's strange. It doesn't feel like I've been out for 6 months...and at the very same time, it feels like I've been out for years. Mission timelines are so strange.

Also, I'm probably going to be transferred at the end of this one. :( I REALLY want to stay for one more, so I'm praying a lot to align my will with God's. We'll see what happens. Either way I'm crying.

Preaching the gospel from a roof-top. ;)
Missions are the best. I've been learning and growing so unbelievably much. And I know that I'm where I'm at for a reason. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for every single one of His children.

I love and miss you all so much! Have such a great week!

Valentine's Day

Hello my darling friends and family,

This week was not as great as I wanted it to be...

But we did have some good times!

I got a new companion! Sister Hansen, my step-daughter! :) She's so great! I'm learning that I knew a whoooole lot more Spanish than I thought I knew! And it's great! I'm learning and growing so much, and I can't wait to see my progression for the rest of this transfer!

We had a Valentine's Party with our ward. And the decorations were disgusting. There was so much pink and so many hearts and it was great. The food was...SO good.

Yesterday, I was really stressed about everything. It turns out that yesterday was a terrible day for the entire District. The South Elders and us had a lovely ranting session in a church parking lot. And it was a thing that we needed.

Things that I think people don't realize:
HOW MUCH MISSIONARIES LOVE THE PEOPLE THEY SERVE. I love the people in Denver so much more than words could possibly ever express.

And here's the thing about the love that the missionaries have for people. Is that they love them so much, and they completely give their hearts to the people they serve. And the people don't realize that, don't know what they're doing, and they just completely destroy our hearts. And hurt us so bad.

So I think that was really dramatic and morbid sounding, and I promise you all that my heart is completely in tact right now. But, just know how much the missionaries love and care about everyone. We really do. Investigators, less-actives, recent converts, members, people we've just met. Our hearts are so unbelievably full with love to all of you. All the time.

Just know that. :)

We're not doing what we're doing just because we think it sounds nice. We're not doing what we're doing because we want you to change your lives and make you be miserable. We're doing what we're doing because we LOVE you! And we want you to be happy!

I hope you all have a fantastic week!

And know that I love you and miss you all more than you can ever possibly imagine.

Here's How You Get A Concussion

Everybody Laughs When You Get a Concussion....

Our beautiful District. I love these missionaries. So much.

Hi friends and family,

Because I didn't have a funny quote to title this email..you just all get to know that I've been laughed at all week. Because. Yes. I have a concussion. And everybody just laughs at me when they hear the story. And because I literally have nothing else that I could write about this week, y'all get to hear my concussion story.

I'm just going to make it really short, because. I'm so done with this story.
I fell down the stairs. I hit my head on the wall. Concussion.

Everybody keeps laughing at me. And, I suppose I deserve it. Because... Who does that? Well. Sister Harper does.

Elder Marin and the Harry Potter planner he made for me. :)
So I've been instructed by a doctor to rest. And I'm finally able to start working again tonight! Thank goodness. The whole resting thing was MISERABLE.

The good news is though: Elder Marin made me a Harry Potter planner, because he felt really bad. For some reason, the Elders think that my concussion is their fault. Also, Elder Marin and Elder Bang both thought I was going to have to go home due to medical reasons. Haha. Nope. But I got a milkshake and a planner out of it. Thanks, Elder Marin.

So transfers are tomorrow. My lovely companion Sister Noakes is going home. :( I'm so grateful that I got to have her as my companion for 6 short weeks.

BUT. This next transfer, I'll be follow-up training a Sister. That just means she's been in the field for 6 weeks, and needs the last 6 weeks of training. SO I'll be doing that. I'm really excited! SO excited to know who my step-daughter is going to be! Also. Elder LeCheminant is going to be our new District Leader. And I am SO excited. It's going to be a fantastic transfer!

Sister Noakes
Okay, I love and miss you all!
Don't fall down any stairs!
