"How to train a Bair." - Myrna

Well, friends and family, I can't really explain to you why this quote is so hilarious. Suffice it to say that there is going to be a riot when the day comes that I get transferred from Eagle Valley. The members want to keep me here. Forever. Hahahaha.

Life is good!

Salvador is going to be baptized next Sunday! He's so excited. And so are we. :) His baptism is all planned out. And we're SO excited because Hermana Bauer will get to come! I'm probably more excited about that than anyone. This whole experience with Salvador has been so amazing and crazy. I often think about when he tried to tell us not to come by anymore when we came for our second lesson. I know with all of my heart that Hna Bauer and I needed to be together at that point to help Salvador continue meeting with us. So he'll be getting baptized on Sunday and it's going to be a party. Please continue praying for him! :) Prayers work, I promise!

Transfers are coming up this next week. We think I'm staying, but just to be safe, if you need to send me letters/packages please send them to my mission office!

"I don't want to be Satan."

Because I want you to remember how weird I am
Friends and family: It is official! My mission is trying to kill me! I passed out again this week on Friday and currently have a ginormous bruise on my left cheek. It's super cute. It looks like Hna Moody beat me up, haha.

I don't have much time to write, because I have to go pack. Because I'm being transferred! And I'm really sad about it. To my friends from Mexico: If you thought I ugly cried when I had to leave the CCM, you should be SO glad you don't have to see the ugly cry that's happening because I have to leave Eagle. And it's probably worse because I don't have Hna Chandler to hug me and cry with me. I just ugly cry by myself. la lucha es real.

Salvador didn't get baptized this week. :( But it's okay, because he's going to keep learning and keep going to church and the sisters are going to keep teaching him. He's going to get baptized one day, just wasn't yesterday. I'm praying that I'll get to come back for his baptism.

I have to go because I have to pack up my life. :(

Wish me luck with white-washing my new area. It's going to be an adventure of sorts!

All my love,
Hermana Sherilyn Harper

"Oh, I can find you some men." -Sister Lundeberg

Friends and family!
I don't have very much time today, because I have to go run practice some musical numbers.

So, basically just know that this week was fantastic! Yesterday we had a cookout so we smelled like camp fire all night and it was glorious!

"El arrodillo de su brazo"

Sister Moody and I are twins. ;)
Welp, I'm an idiot. That's what I learned this week. When I don't know how to say things in Spanish, I make it up. And this is what happens when Sister Moody asks me how you say elbow in Spanish. I reply with "the knee of your arm." Asi es mi vida. At least people think I'm funny.

This week was actually really great. :)

Do y'all remember a few weeks back when I talked about Salvador? Well. I'm just going to talk about him again, because he is the greatest person EVER.

Salvador is AMAZING. He came to church again yesterday. He liked it so much more than last week, because we actually had Spanish sacrament meeting this time. :) He liked it and he already knows basically all of the Hispanic members. So, it was awesome. Built-in-fellowship. :) And we had two lessons with him this week.

On Friday we talked with him a lot about baptism. He told us that he knows what we're saying is true, but he was really confused about the restoration of the priesthood. So it was a really awesome lesson where we could find out his concern.

Yesterday we talked about the restoration of the priesthood and it made a lot more sense to him. He still doesn't feel quite ready to get baptized. But he's reading the Book of Mormon almost every day and praying. He's doing really, really well.

On Saturday we dropped by because we needed to give him his spoons back. Because he always gives us food. So we stopped by to give him his spoons back, and he told us he wasn't feeling very well and probably wouldn't be able to come to church. So we told him we would pray for him. And then I gave him some dried mango that I had in the car. Because we were asking if there was anything we could do for him and we started listing off all of these things that we could do or get for him. So we ran back to the car to get him mango. Then we texted him on Sunday morning to see how he was feeling. He told us that he was feeling a lot better, that he felt a lot better when he saw us last night and with the mango we gave him. He said, "I think Jesus sent you to me." :) Someone recognizes the hand of God in their life. :)

Anyway, life is good. I hope you're all having a great week. Remember that I love and miss you all so much!

p.s. Please pray for Salvador that he can receive his answers and be baptized on July 26th! :)
