Well, friends and family. This week was crazy.
Transfers
happened, and I miss my Hermana Bauer. But it's okay. Because she and I
are going to be reunited TONIGHT for exchanges. And that is possible,
because she and Sister Moody switched places. So we're still in the same
zone. All is well, my friends, all is well!
So
my new companion is Sister Moody! :) We're really excited to be serving
together, because we've been going on exchanges together for the last 3
months, and we've been DYING to be each other's companion. She actually
wrote in my bye-bye book, "I'm praying that we get to be companions
soon!" Such a joke, because it happened an HOUR after she wrote it. We
died. It's so funny. And so weird. Because we just feel like we're on a
really long exchange. Weird times, my friends. Weird times. But we work
so well together, our teaching styles and personalities compliment each
other SUPER well. Which, of course, means that we will only get one
transfer together. Asi es mi vida.
The first
day that Sister Moody and I were together, it rained. A LOT. Which is
weird for Eagle Valley. But it rained SO hard. We both looked like
drowned rats. It was hilarious. And that was our first bit of bonding.
Our companionship has gotten better and better from that point on. :)
This
week was great. We have been working super hard. :) We saw Salvador
twice this week. He's doing really well. He's been reading in the Book
of Mormon and praying. He is the best. Definitely one of my favorite
people here. He made us elote, which is corn in a cup with mayonnaise,
parmesan cheese, and chili powder. It was super good. Guys. Mexican food
= the greatest thing of my life.
Other exciting news is that my best friend is leaving on her mission tomorrow! :) Go kill it, Hermana Gomez.
And a happy belated fathers day to all of the fathers out there. Especially to mine, because he's the best. :)
In
the lovely Colorado Denver South Mission, we are working on having more
unity as a mission in whole. So together, we are doing a Book of Mormon
challenge. We are reading the entire Book of Mormon in 42 days,
studying repentance and changing. It has been the most amazing thing of
my life. My testimony of the Book of Mormon has grown so much on my
mission. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon in my life, for the
opportunity I have to learn something new from it every single day. The
Book of Mormon truly is another testament of Jesus Christ. And I truly
know that it is through the Book of Mormon that we can come closer to
Jesus Christ.
I love you all so much.
Have a great week. And read the Book of Mormon DAILY!
Con amor,
